The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has already impacted our life, forcing us to prepare our workforce to avoid operational disruption and seek ways to safeguard our and our employees’ health.

A humble beginning It all started with me getting my first pc, a 386, around the age of 10. Playing Gorillas Bas, getting immersed into the world of adventure games, writing midi songs and spinning cubes in 3D Studio MAX. That was the beginning of my love affair with computers and what later became a full-time hobby. Fast forward a couple of decades (3 to be exact) and sitting in my corner office (am actually at the corner of an open-plan space), surrounded by monitors, sipping my coffee, thinking that life is pretty sweet. Some would argue that 3 monitors are 2 too many, but for me is a constant battle, trying to fit all the software am using in those 3 monitors, in order to avoid using alt + tab to switch between them. That’s the life of a Web Developer.

I can’t believe that BLEND, the web design agency in Nicosia, is already 4 years old. A four-year old “child”. With the maturity of a forty year old man, experience wise that is. And with the culture of a thirty year old, breezy, fresh, hip and full of energy! A unique blend if you think about it. So, how did we manage that? Hmmm…let me tell you..how we do it the BLEND way.

It’s being three years since I wrote an article on how we deal with projects and requests from clients on a day-to-day basis. On the article, I explained how we use different tools to assign tasks to team members and how we collaborate as a team. As needs grow and technology advances, we need to evolve and find ways to adapt. We also need to improve and speed our processes to increase productivity and performance. As an experienced web development company in Nicosia, I would like to show you our two main upgrades regarding communication and collaboration. Moreover, I  would like to share our team's day-to-day collaboration, which I believe advanced our team’s efficiency to the next level in the past year.

At BLEND, a digital agency based in Nicosia,  our main goal is to deliver the optimum result in terms of quality and effectiveness to all our projects. To achieve that, a smooth and effective process flow must take place, regardless of the size of the project. Below I will try and explain briefly our project life cycle process and the steps of each phase. Basically, how we blend tasks together at BLEND:

As an agency, we deal with lots of projects and requests from clients on a day-to-day basis. As a production director, my main responsibility is to get organized, assign to team members their daily tasks. Additionally, I needed to make sure each project is executed as planned while maintaining a smooth communication between the project team members. In order to do that we use a few tools that help us keep everything in harmony.
