Outdoor Creations is a leader and state-of-art company for the creation of outdoor spaces and gardens. Offering a broad spectrum of services, from the import and production of plants to the distribution of a great variety of pots and decoration stones. They also undertake the detailed design, implementation and maintenance of gardens.
Being an old client of ours, when they felt it was time to upgrade their online presence and redesign & redevelop their website in line with the new website trend’s they came to us again. And it’s always a pleasure to work alongside old clients and watching them grow and succeed and us contributing via our web design & development skills.

Even though the design was based on a bootstrap grid, we went beyond the grid and broke the framework by having elements flow all the way to the edge of the screen. Some of these overlap each other yet still maintain the responsive capability. This caused a higher difficulty level both design and development wise but was well worth the effort. As the end result constitutes a trendy and fresh website.
The look & feel was deliberately clean and minimalistic to give more emphasis on the actual content and imagery. Furthermore, using attractive imagery directly from the customer played a significant role in making the website more authentic and beautiful as well.
A lot of small details like leaves in the form of icons and cactus pots images were placed in strategic sections with CTA’s and in the background too, to create a perspective of a breathing website. Moreover, to enhance the user experience more we created custom icons to illustrate the various services and products and blend with the overall design approach.
Although the Outdoor Creations website seems simple, yet the elements flowing all the way to the end of the screen posed a challenged during the responsive phase, as some of these do overlap. But with our intensive Quality Assurance phase and testing you can see that these elements work perfectly across any device.
Developing the Outdoor Creations website was very demanding. The design required multilayered components to be developed in order to meet the exact element transitions and actions. Developing a fully responsive website while ignoring the bootstraps grid, or any other grid framework became quite puzzling. Additionally, we developed custom modules and post types to predominantly organize and categorize the projects, services and products of Outdoor Creations. Overall a challenging yet fun project from the developments perspective.
